Lucia Warck-Meister is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her works have been exhibited at El Museo del Barrio, New York; Museum of the Americas, Washington, DC; Miura Museum of Art, Matsuyama City, Japan; Briggens Museum, Bergen, Norway; Katonah Museum of Art, NY; and the National Liberty Museum, Philadelphia, among other venues. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the Pollock-Krasner Fellowship; Creative Climate Award from the Human Impacts Institute; Ibermuseum Prize; First Prize at the Biennial of Sculpture in Public Spaces, Palm Beach, FL; MTA Arts for Transit Finalist, Bronx, NY.

Her previous artist residencies include the the American Academy in Rome, Italy, School of Visual Arts, NY; Oolite Artist Residency, Miami, FL; TransborderArt Governors Island Residency; SACO6 Award, Antofagasta, Chile; NYFA Immigrant Mentoring Program. Through individual and collective memory, Warck-Meister’s work explores identity, gender, visibility, and historical narrative. A native of Argentina, she is deeply inspired by the legends and oral traditions of local communities, passed down through generations. Through visual storytelling, Warck-Meister transforms ancestral narratives into powerful symbols of resilience and the enduring interconnection between humanity and the natural world.
