Eve Aschheim is an abstract painter and draftsperson who seeks to create dynamic abstract structures that exist between categories of thought.

Aschheim received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her M.F.A. from the University of California, Davis. She began teaching at Princeton University as a Lecturer in 1991, and from 2004-2007 she served as director of the program. Aschheim was elected member of the National Academy of Art in 2017. She currently lives and works in New York, where she was born.

Aschheim’s work is currently on view in the group exhibition From Géricault to Rockburne: Selections from the Michael and Juliet Rubenstein Gift at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
